The Fibre Cycle.

Nature is full of cycles. Plants and animals are born, grow, reproduce and die, returning to earth from which life grows. Nature cycles and recycles, returning organic material to its source - the soil - to start again. Decomposition is natures way of turning expired life into new life. Nothing is lost, nothing pollutes, nothing is thrown away.

In the fibre cycle organic natural fibre from organically raised animals and plants is spun into yarn. The yarn is then dyed with natural dyes and mordants. The woolly product is designed carefully and lovingly woven and enjoyed by folks. At the end of the piece's long happy, useful life the fabric can be composted and the fabric can safely decompose into the ground. The carbon in the fabric is released back into the soil and is absorbed by the soil and used by plants.
